Nature has been an enduring source of inspiration for most of the designers around the globe.A deep look into nature unlocks imagination and inspires creativity The Bhushan Powar Design take the nature into consideration for most of their design cues, because that is where most of our inspirations lie. Our latest Superyacht design “GLAUCA” draws its origins from the BLUE SHARK . A very agile creature with a lean body structure that has been named after the color it sports, “Glauca” for blue in Latin.
The overall length is 64m/209ft and having a beam of 9M / 29.5ft . The primary objective of the team was to design focusing on the owner of the yacht hence we designed a complete private area for the owner on the aft side of the yacht made of glass so the owner could host his guests with a view of the ocean. During the development phase we planned to have a concealed upper deck and an open sun deck complete with a Jacuzzi and lounge area. The overall body structure from the top depicts our muse swimming in the waters.
The owner’s cabin is located near to the bow with two folding galleries on either sides. On the lower deck we have a beach lounge with a large opening on the aft side of the yacht that is surrounded by large glass panels providing unobstructed views of the ocean whilst the yacht cruises on the waters. The beach lounge has two folding decks with a bar area on the lower deck, tender garage on the same floor.
The “GLAUCA” can accommodate 10 guests with 24 crew members to cater the guests. A floating helipad with direct access to the main deck. The yacht will be propelled by a quadro Volovo Penta IPS engines, generating top speeds of 20 -22 knots and a cursing speed of 17 knts.
